Part 3 of 3 · Walking
Spiritual Life Reflection Guide
Movements of Formation
Three threads the Spirit weaves as your soul is gently formed in Christ.
A gentle posture
You are loved before you are formed. Hold what comes next gently — invitations, never assignments.
Pause between movements. Read slowly. Let one practice quietly catch you — or let none. The Spirit's pace is not yours to manufacture.
Was there a question that wouldn't let you go? Sit with that one this week.
Spiritual disciplines & habits
Doing
The simple, repeated rhythms that make space for God. Practices don't earn His presence — they prepare you to receive it.
Read slowly. Notice where the Spirit may already be at work in your rhythms.
Tap any items that quietly catch you. There's no need to choose.
The Spirit doesn't read tiers. Go as deep as He's drawing you — these are starting places, not ceilings.

Scripture
"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed."

Heart transformation & character
Being
The slow, hidden work of the Spirit shaping who you are — your loves, your reflexes, your trust. Being precedes doing.
Pay attention to the quiet invitations of the Spirit beneath your activity.

Harvest
What grows in you is meant to flow through you — to people, places, and purposes God puts within reach. What is in your hands is on loan — to steward, not to own.
Ask the Spirit to show you where His love is already flowing through you to others.

A closing word
Choose one small step — and trust the One who began this good work in you to carry it on.
Reflect on what caught you. Let the Spirit set the pace.
A fear, an idol, a competing commitment, a dependency you haven't named yet.
A person, a rhythm, a practice, a prayer.
Walking with others
Disciplines, community, and trusted resources
Formation is rarely walked alone. The Spirit often forms us through ancient rhythms — and through the people God has placed near you.

For deeper emotional or mental health support, a counselor or trained professional remains a gift alongside this.
Journey
You don't have to discern alone
If you'd value prayerful listening, wise counsel, or a companion for the journey, consider sitting with these reflections alongside a trusted friend, mentor, pastor, spiritual director, or Christian leadership coach.
A closing prayer
Father,
Thank You for this unhurried time. You have known me long before I knew to look for You, and You are still gently forming what only Your Spirit can form. Where I am tired, give me rest. Where I am striving, draw me back to abiding. Where You are quietly inviting me into a practice or a posture, give me the courage to say yes — slowly, honestly, without performance. Make my Doing flow from being loved. Shape my Being into the likeness of Christ. And let whatever Harvest comes be Yours — for Your name, and for the good of the people You have placed near me.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Pass it on
Formation isn’t meant to be walked alone.
